The Clean Eating Misconception.

Desperate to start eating healthy but every time you search ‘healthy meal ideas’ you’re hit with multi-ingredient and probably quite expensive recipes?

Well... I am here to tell you it doesn’t need to be as complicated as it looks and doesn’t have to be as expensive!

Finding a few basic and healthy meals that you really enjoy is essential for healthy eating. This means you won’t feel like you’re restricting yourself or missing out on foods you enjoy.

Also, LISTEN CAREFULLY, never EVER give up foods you enjoy.

This just won’t work. If you still allow yourself a treat every so often whether that be a Chinese takeaway or a whole tub of Ben & Jerry’s, you will adjust to this new way of eating a lot better. Just don’t over do-it.

A few very basic but healthy meals I enjoy are as follows;

For breakfast, nothing beats a bagel. The queen of breakfast carbs. However, you’ve got to keep it wholegrain! Toast it, slap some peanut butter on there as well as some sliced banana and you’ve got yourself a yummy and healthy breakfast.

For lunch, when it’s cold you can’t go wrong with a warm bowl of soup. For the warmer months, a wholemeal wrap with cold meats of your choice and salad is the best way to go.

For dinner, brown rice with cajun chicken and some veggies is my favourite go to. Another personal favourite is wholewheat pasta with tomato and chilli sauce. Incorporating some greens is always great too.

Well, I’ll stop there but I hope I’ve managed to give you some ideas or at least some healthy eating inspo.

It doesn’t always have to be boring!
